The raw for 16 is seriously jacked up. It would take me over a month to clean it up if I was doing it. 51 pages & the last 2 look nearly unsalvageable. It could take an army to pull of that miracle in any normal time frame.

I know a clean raw of Ch. 16 exists on Fakku, but there’s no file download. YOu’d either have to manually save each image or contact the uploader. This is the same messy raw from the mag, just in a smaller image size. The tank raw is definitely the way to go. It will need to be pruned b4 releasing like everything but its a start.
But I’m in the same boat as you guys, waiting for this release. I can read kanji ok – on good days, but normally it just takes too much brain power.
Maybe if we can bring enough attention to this chapter, it can get done.

Someone do me a favor and explain to me.. The translator said that the chapter was “jacked up” and it would take over a month to clean. Would someone explain exactly what he’s talking about? He can’t be talking about page quality, at least I hope not, as all versions I’ve seen of it look fine.

This is going on in circles. I never said I was a translator here. However, I can translate if I had to – I’m terrible with kanji. I only know ~520/2136. Whenever I find myself reading a raw, I’m stuck looking up kanji. A lot of us non-native translators are like that.
If this loopfest continues, I’ll translate it & upload it to mediafire. But I hope I won’t have to do that since the tranlation would probably suck.
With my luck, the moment I start on it, it’ll be released here…

I have my cuz helping me, he’s a native on my mom’s side. He owned me one anyway. Atleast he knows more kanji that me. I’m done with about half of the real pages.
I could hardly figure out Mina’s & Korome’s spiels for the life of me. I also forgot just how long it takes to typeset each page. I’m just glad there are 20+ pages of moans & groans :)

That was awfully nice of them.
I usually provide “straight” translations of anime for some of the groups out there. When I say “straight” I mean exactly what is said in Japanese, since its done in realtime. The sentences are usually backwards 90% of the time. They then take those translations & make some kind of sense out of them. I’ve been doing it for so long that I’ve become completely fluent in the language.
The only problem with that is that I only know as much kanji as a 3rd grader. So manga is out of the question unless I dumb it down first. But I still translate as backward English sentences.
Reversing those sentences is an art – & I suck at art. Especially when people have those long-winded conversations where they have to say different forms of the subject many times over. That kind of junk makes no sense in straight english – & it can also lead to most of the translation mistakes.
That’s why I see why these guys are so backed down. The only way I got it done in 2 days was that I really didn’t go to task in reversing it too much – just enough to where it could be understood.
